Cyber threats continue to evolve, and businesses of all sizes face an increasing risk from cyber attacks. At Bluecube, we’re committed to continually enhancing our security capabilities and staying ahead of emerging threats. That’s why we’ve signed up to National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC)’s Early Warning service, a free government-backed initiative designed to help UK organisations identify potential cyber security issues as early as possible.

What is NCSC Early Warning?

NCSC Early Warning is a free service available to UK organisations that provides notifications about potentially malicious activity affecting registered domains and public IP addresses. The service draws on intelligence from the NCSC and trusted security partners to identify signs of compromise, vulnerable services and malicious activity.

Organisations receive alerts covering:

  • Potential security incidents that may indicate compromise
  • Network abuse events linked to malicious activity
  • Vulnerability and open port alerts that could expose systems to risk

Why We’ve Signed Up

While no single security tool can provide complete protection, effective cyber security relies on multiple layers of defence. Early Warning adds another layer by helping identify risks that may otherwise go unnoticed.

The service can help organisations:

  • Detect potential threats sooner
  • Identify vulnerable internet-facing services
  • Increase visibility of suspicious activity
  • Take action before small issues become larger security incidents

What This Means for Our Customers

By registering our domains and infrastructure with Early Warning, Bluecube gains access to additional threat intelligence from trusted sources. If suspicious activity or vulnerabilities affecting our registered assets are identified, we’ll receive alerts that can support our ongoing security monitoring and response processes.

Combined with our existing security controls, monitoring tools and cyber security expertise, this helps us maintain a proactive approach to protecting systems and data.

Security is an Ongoing Journey

Cyber security is never a one-time project. It requires continual improvement, assessment and vigilance. Initiatives such as the NCSC’s Early Warning service support our commitment to strengthening security for both our business and the customers who trust us with their technology.

As the UK’s cyber security authority, the NCSC reports that Early Warning delivers around 2,000 alerts each month to participating organisations, helping identify potential threats before they escalate.
