Bluecube have been recognised for their innovation during and following the COVID-19 lockdown period. The company was established as a business communications provider in 2008 but in recent years has become a local leader in cloud communications.

Paul Reames, Director and founder of Bluecube, explained:

During lockdown businesses were forced to adopt some of the flexible working technology that we’ve been providing for some time. People had to adapt quickly to communicating online rather than in person.

We noticed that Microsoft Teams seemed to be incredibly popular tool with businesses.  After doing some research we found that Teams had seen a surge in popularity from 32 million users to over 75 million users at the end of April 2020.

We noticed that Microsoft Teams seemed to be incredibly popular tool with businesses.  After doing some research we found that Teams had seen a surge in popularity from 32 million users to over 75 million users at the end of April 2020.

Bluecube used its 12 years of experience and expertise to develop and provide a solution that works within Microsoft Teams to offer PBX (phone system) functionality. Now businesses can use Teams to communicate with colleagues internally but also make, take and manage calls on their business telephone number all within the popular Microsoft application.

The Teams Telephony product from Bluecube is fully implemented and managed by Bluecube’s support team and no additional PBX equipment is required.

Alex Mackinder, Implementation Manager at Bluecube explained how the new product had been received by subscribers. “Teams provides an interface that a huge number of professionals are already familiar with. We felt that putting our dial pad and cloud-based telephony into Teams would give the end user an easy migration path to working remotely. Teams makes the telephony side of things really simple and we do our end user training online for those who need it. We also use SIP trunks to provider free UK calls for subscribers and so commercially this really works for businesses.

Results will be announced on the evening of October 1st 2020, keep your fingers crossed for Bluecube!
