The new iPhone 16, expected to be launched in early September, is likely to come in 4 new colourways: Natural Titanium, White Titanium, Black Titanium and a new Bronze Titanium option.
Per 9to5Mac, consumer tech reviewer Sonny Dickson posted a photo to X of iPhone 16 Pro dummy units:
The upcoming launch will introduce significant changes compared to the iPhone 15, with Apple reportedly increasing the size of the iPhone 16 Pro to 6.3 inches and the iPhone 16 Pro Max to 6.9 inches. This will be the first size upgrade for the handsets in several years however the increase is exclusive to the Pro models, while the standard iPhone 16 will retain the same dimensions as its predecessor, the iPhone 15.
Apple is developing new A-series chips for the iPhone 16 lineup, utilising the latest N3E 3-nanometer technology. While these chips are expected to bring improvements in efficiency and performance, specific details have yet to be revealed. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro may feature different chips, with the more advanced version reserved for the Pro models.
The Action Button, previously available only on the iPhone 15 Pro models, is set to be included across all four iPhone 16 models in September 2024. The iPhone 16 lineup is rumored to feature a new “Capture Button” designed for taking photos and videos. This Capture Button will function similarly to the shutter button on a digital camera, with pressure-sensitive levels for focusing and capturing images.
It’s certain that iOS 18 will power the 2024 iPhone models. With Apple’s preview of this software update at June’s Worldwide Developer Conference, we now have a clearer picture of some new features. These include a redesigned Photos app, expanded options for customising the iPhone home screen and various enhancements to apps like Maps and Notes.
A major part of the update will be Apple Intelligence, Apple’s suite of AI features. These AI capabilities will be limited to devices with an A17 chip or later. This likely includes all four iPhone 16 models, which are expected to run on A18 silicon. Thanks to a powerful new NPU, these iPhones might offer the best AI performance of any Apple device to date.
Apple Intelligence features will include advanced writing tools, generative photo editing and an upgraded Siri powered by ChatGPT.
