Basic Troubleshooting

Depending on which platform you’re using your Jabra with, we have specific troubleshooting guides for Webex or Wildix. We’ve included some generic troubleshooting tips below, but if these don’t solve your problem check out the platform specific guides.

  • It may sound obvious, but double check that your Jabra is powered on and connected to your PC, laptop, or phone. If using bluetooth check your bluetooth settings on your phone or laptop to check the device is connection. If using a Jabra Link dongle check the status lights using our guide below.
  • Your model of Jabra may have volume buttons on the side. Use these to try and adjust the volume while listening to some audio or watching a video and see if you can hear the content.
  • If you have Jabra Direct installed on your machine open it and check that it shows that your headset is connected. If it isn’t installed, we’d recommend installing it using the guide below.

Installing Jabra Direct

Jabra Direct is a software application provided by Jabra that allows you to manage and customize your Jabra audio devices. It provides features such as firmware updates, device settings, call control integration, and more. Here’s how to install it on your PC:

  • Visit the Jabra website and go to the Jabra Direct download page [hyperlink to https://www.jabra.co.uk/software-and-services/jabra-direct].
  • Choose your operating system and click the download button.
  • Double-click on the downloaded file to run the Jabra Direct installer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions & the installer will guide you through the installation process. Follow the prompts and agree to any terms and conditions if requested.
  • If you haven’t done so already, connect your Jabra device to your computer using the provided USB Jabra Link dongle or via Bluetooth, depending on the model.
  • Once the installation is complete, Jabra Direct should automatically launch. If it doesn’t, you can find the application in your computer’s applications folder or search for it using the operating system’s search functionality.
  • Upon launching Jabra Direct, you will have access to various features and settings for your Jabra device. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the options available and customize them according to your preferences.

Checking status lights on Jabra link dongle

The Jabra Link USB dingle that comes with your Jabra headset has a status light on it that helpfully lets you know if your headset is connected or pairing, on mute, on a call, and more. Here’s a rundown of the different light colours and status’ and what they mean.
